They award huge multi year contracts to players coming off a probable steroid/HGH enhanced great performance year. Seems like if Baseball owners REALLY wanted no steroid/HGH use, then they wouuld insist on weekly blood tests in contracts longer than 2 years.

Fact is no one cares about it except for Barry Bonds, who is singled out for 3 reasons: sports writers hate Bonds, Bonds uses more steroids/HGH and makes better use of them, and racism (in that order).

There’s nothing in it for baseball owners cleaning up steroid use from baseball. Will more fans come to steroid/HGH clean baseball, with more of the best players injured and injured longer, with a lower level of performance? I haven’t heard anyone say "I’m not going to a baseball game because half the players have 25 pounds of muscle they couldn’t had got naturally".
It seems probable that Bonds was using HGH/steroids in quantiy only AFTER 1997.
Alex Rodriguez has probalby used HGH since 1996 (reports he’s been linked to that), Roger Clemens would had been out of baseball for the last 5 years without performance enhancers.
Players who DON"T use steroids/HGH? Hmm, I think 90% since 1997 have used at least limited amounts, to recover from injury, aid performance in a contract year ect. And HGH will continue to be used.
If I was at that level, and it made the diffenence between geting a 2 year contract at million ayear, or a 3year contract at million a year (may be 150 players in that level of ability and experience), I’s use steroids in a heartbeat.

The inescapable conclusion of the Mitchell report is that baseball is incapable of policing itself, government intervention mandating independent testing is necessary. The union had players stonewall the investigation. Only players named were those using lacking the foresight that their suppliers would get caught and they would have documentation backing their claims.

Baseball has no incentive to police itself, with higher turnover, stars more frequently injured and out longer will cause the public interest to flag, would adversely impacting revenue streams. The players looking for the multimillion dollar paydays don’t want that threatened either, most know they could get replaced for less money.
HGH can be detected with blood tests and it appears most unlikely a reliable urine test will ever be developed. Yet another reason why government intervention calling for blood testing to be done, something you will never find the union agreeing to.

BTW, this is perfectly consitutional. so long as there are no criminal liability that would attach.

Im pretty sure its HGD?
I’ve tried to ignore it, but I just can’t anymore.

I’m 18, 5′4, 108 pounds, male, 11 1/2 shoe size, and look REALLY young. I’ve looked exactly the same for 4 years now. All the males on both sides of my family are 5′10 and on the heavy side. I have plenty of hair everywhere except my face which I have a little. My testes are in the next to last stage of development. I was average height till about 8th grade and I have not grown any since. I also have not changed in my face. The pictures of me in the 8th grade, look exactly like the ones now, in college. I was 5′4 in the 8th grade, looked like a normal 8th grader. Then I just stopped changing. My mom is 5′4 and my dad is 5′10(at least, probably more). I am not exaggerating about how I look. I look extremely young. .I have a really poor appetite and I am on Prozac.

Reasons why I think its HGD :

I have Huge feet for my size
I haven’t changed in 4 years physically
The other effects of puberty has not been effected…(size of testes, pubic hair)
Every male on both sides are at least 5"10 and on the heavy side.
I’m having a lot of trouble gaining weight/poor appetite
I look like a 13 year old max
I have poor muscle mass (the bones on my elbows/wrists and shoulders actually stick out…looks weird)
I was average size till the 8th grade…was in the 50th percentile for boys, then plummeted to the 3rd?
I take Prozac for anxiety (another symptom)
My penis has not grown any since the 8th grade

My family doctor did blood tests on everything but HGD (Endo’s have to do the test). I need a referral to see an endo, do you think he will give me one? Anyone had any experience with HGD? Sound like I have it?

—–A lot of people skim so I’m going to say it again. I look REALLY young 13-14, not just short. That is what bothers me.
Edit: Just wondering…any heart or lung issues, or other medical issues that you may have?

Nope…at least that I am aware of. I’m trying to tell my mom I need to see one, but she is siding with my family doctor atm…

I tried to look up on this myself but to be honest it was confusing.
First let me describe her. She is three, weighs 23 pounds even and is short. Her exact height I forget.
I started to get worried when she had grown only three inches in the last year and gained about half a pound in a year. I took her to the pediatrician and she started running blood tests. They all turned out alright except she was not putting out enough growth hormone and her immune system was low. The doctor seemed worried about the low immune system. She listed off three initials and said that the immune system was tested in three major parts. One of them was really low but she said she would look in on that farther on after the Endocrinologist has seen her.

She was referred to an endocrinologist and she might be put on growth hormones. The thing is I don’t know too much about it. Please, I am really worried. Do you know anything about the growth hormones, or about what the low immune system might mean? The doctor seemed truly worried but she told me that she wasn’t.

Thanks in advance guys!

I’m 18, 108 pounds, 5′4, and male and in college. Ever since the 9th grade I have not grown outward/upward anywhere. My face has stayed the same…hence I still look like I’m 13-14 MAX. Clothes still fit (don’t wear them anymore, just wanted to know). All the males on both sides of my family are at least 5′10 and hefty. I’ll admit I don’t like my height but that doesn’t bug me as much as how young I look. I’m sick of it. I really don’t think I’ll ever look older. I mean I haven’t changed A BIT since the 9th grade. I can’t emphasize that anymore. I’ve never really had a appetite.

It can’t be normal to look this young. I mean my pastor tried to high five me the other day…

I have pubic hair/a little facial hair. So I don’t think I am a late bloomer. Unless hair can come anyway…I want to go see an endocrinologist but you have to get your doctor to recommend one I believe. I don’t think he will because he did blood tests and said everything was normal…But he didn’t even check for hgh deficiency.

Anyways, whoever made it through the wall of text, any opinions?

I have Hashimoto’s disease/hypo-thyroidism and when my blood tests came back recently, they found that the Human Growth Hormone was slightly elevated. The doctor didn’t really explain it, and I was just wondering what caused it, and if it should be of concern, thanks
