I heard that doctors can perscribe hormones that will make people about 4 or 5 inches taller. I am a 15 year old male, 5′10", but I think I have stopped growing, I am going to be 16 in about a month and a half. Will my doctor give me the growth hormones so i can be taller?
if so, for what reason….and did they work? the more information you can give me would be great.
my son has a kidney disease and his doctors want to possibly put him on growth hormones. he just turned 8 months old and weighs 14 lbs 3 oz. he is not even on the growth charts! he was only 5 lbs 10 oz when he was born (prematurely). i just want to know what other parents experience with this has been. thanks

I have been putting up with nighmares for over 3 years that seem so real its almost a part of my memory,Prior i was put on growth hormone for growth deficiency and took it for over a year, can the growth hormone be blamed for my nightmares and anger problems? My dad went to Iraq when i was 16 so i had to take care of my little brother and mom for 18 months, and I have a bad case of not knowing whether my dreams are real events or not, they feel so real and when i go back to remember them its only bits and pieces. its really starting to take a toll on me and my girlfriend cus of the stress that I put on myself, and the insecurities of not knowing if my memories are dreams or actual events. Please if anyone can give me advice or just talk to me to see what I can personally do to help myself please email me, I hate seeing doctors, ever doctor ive talked to says im a dime short of a buck, and I need constructive help.
i’m almost 15 years old and 160cm you might think it’s good height but the problem my body haven’t grown or changed for 3 years so doctors advised me to make lots of examination on blood structure like magnesium, calcium ,TSH, Free T3 , Free T4 and all were normal
but i made X-ray on my wrist and knee and doctors told me that spaces between bones are almost closed and won’t grow again!!
the only thing wasn’t normal my GH test the result was
Ref . Range
Growth Hormone: 0.2 ng/ml up to 7.0

Due to low levels and pulsatile secretion of hGH, provocative tests are recommended for
evaluating GH deficiency.
I’m now 19 and I was diagnosed with a growth on pituitary gland when I was 15 I believe and the doctor said I was checked for gigantism and I didn’t have it, and that it was just a growth and nothing to worry about.
However I have just watched a documentary on TV, and for some reason I have just started worrying about my growth on pituitary gland again.
My question is, do all growth on pituitary glands lead to gigantism? Or can I safely take my doctors advice, which was, I was okay?
i have growth hormone deficiency which means i need shots to grow and…have hormones? anyway im almost 16 years old and guess what? i haven’t started my period or even shown any signs. i have to go to the doctors twice a year and every time since i was like 14 they draw blood to see if they can see any problems….last visit they said next time they’d have a gynecologist ready for me…..i FREAKED…i am a virgin ( no shock there) and have never been….touched? for lack of a better word…by anyone except whoever changed my diapers when i was a baby…anyway…im….big….and um…im REALLY embarrassed about my visit. i almost break down crying whenever i think about it. i was like….molested? i guess you could say in the fifth grade by an older guy who was fond of…making rude gestures and getting very close physically to you…he grabbed my two bests friends breasts and um….humped me?…either way we got him expelled….there was no…contact but its kind of scarred me….so i don’t relish the idea of ANYBODY (male or female) touching me or feeling me up…i know its their job but STILL! any GOOD information on there…and please don’t tell me to "chat" with them on unrelated subjects because for me that’s gonna make it even more awkward….and um….im kind of worried about….this is gonna sound stupid but im worried about what they’re gonna think…i know i shouldn’t worry and they probably take their jobs VERY professionally but still…im gonna be self conscious like….what if they’re thinking " OMG TUNA" or something similar….please help me out…
My friend has Turner’s Syndrome which means that she will always be very short, and never go through puberty (I feel sorry for her because she has no boobs and she’ll never get her period).
She is nearly 17 and for some reason the doctors only figured out that she has this syndrome now.
Is there any chance that growth hormones will help?
And if so, what do they do?
Is it possible for doctors not to know that you have diseases such as Fetal Alcohol Syndrome, Growth Hormone Deficiency, Asthma, Hypothyroidism, Osteoporosis or altogether when you were born?
My child is only 4 years old but the doctors have discussed growth hormones. He might only end up being just over 5 ft tall which is really short was wondering if anyone knew anything about these if they are safe or worth it this young.
I know doctors can prescribe hgh, are their certain dr’s that prescribe it or can any type of dr? Does anyone know if you can get it in Mexico cheaper, and is it legal to bring it back across the border with you?
This could be harmless. OR it could shorten their lives significantly to the point where they won’t be able to watch their kids grow up. The NFL does not test for HGH because it is almost impossible to get accurate results and the tests are quite expensive. I am not even promoting that the NFL should even try to test for it. Professional bodybuilding gave up on testing a long time ago because the human growth hormone tests could easily be beat. But some doctors have claimed that HGH could cause severe liver damage. There also might be a link to cancer. That is a pretty big gamble. Don’t you think. I guess the question one would have to ask them is, "Are ya feelin lucky?"
My daughter is 17 and she’s 5′3 and around 100 lbs. Her back is hardly flexible after years of treatments and stretching, sometimes resulting in shots of pain up her body. Doctors have concluded that her back is not very flexible because of the great arch in it, which is from how her body is built and a lot of it is due to how short she is. Doctors said if she takes hGH, human growth hormones, it will make her taller and hopefully allow her to correct her back problems. Do you think that these are appropriate measures or is there something I should be concerned about in terms of health risks and so forth?
I have researched this thoroughly, and it seems that because of my age, and physical condition, I could benefit tremendously on a HGH therapy regimen. Is it difficult to obtain? What type of doctors prescribe HGH? are the HGH concoctions advertised in fitness mags the same thing?
height?
I heard some people are naturally tall. The tall chinese guy was told by his doctors that nothing is wrong with him and he is naturally tall.
what kind of doctors prescribe human growth hormones?
What kind of human growth hormones are used do they have?
If DHEA changes into Human Growth hormones which makes us all younger, why haven’t we heard about this from Drugstores and doctors?
