im 31 weeks pregnant now i need a scan every week because he is so small, hes ment to be about 3lbs now at this stage and hes 1lb and 5oz. I know its rare but it still happens.

I have 2 cats, one is about 11 months old, one is about 5 months old. Both are just tiny…they are chunky, but very short heightwise and lengthwise. Like they have midget legs or something. When i compare them to other peoples cats they look very small. I still feed them both kitten food, and they eat ALOT, is there such a thing as cat dwarfism? Why are they so short?

Hi!!! Im currently dating this guy of average height. His mother and his brother are dwarfs, however. As I mentioned above, my boyfriend is at normal height. What are the chances that our children will have average height or be affected by dwarfism. Oh and btw there is no dwarfism in my family. Thanks

I noticed watching those shows on tv about dwarfs, they all say:
"I won’t let dwarfism make me different. I’m like anyone else. Just short."

Yet as soon as something comes up, their story is automatically:
"As dwarfs, we can’t do stuff that average sized people can, blah blah blah."

I’m getting tired of watching that stuff…The only show that doesn’t do that and accepts 100% of the time that they’re different is The Little Couple.

My husband’s family has a hereditary "dwarfism". His grandfather, dad, one of his brothers, and one of his sisters all have short limbs for their torsos. My hubby and his brother both sit about as tall as those who are 6′2"-6′4" ish, but because of their shortened limbs they are only about 5′5". I know that most short-limb dysplasia defines dwarfism as having an adult height of 4′10" or under. So, is this a type of dwarfism, just misproportioned, or what?

…and yes I know the technical term is "little person", but all parents give birth to "little people", so to avoid sarcasm…

Anyway, can two parents with no history of dwarfism in the family still produce a child with dwarfism?

Are there any store who sell little people clothing, shoes, suits etc… More specifically, would like a store where adults with dwarfism can buy off the rack.

My daughter has several medical conditions (corrected heart defect, Downs), and she is very small for 2 1/3 years old. I think compared to her brother and sister, she is about the size they were when they were about 1 year old. I was curious to know how they test for dwarfism or other abnormalities related to this. I asked her genetisist about this before but he didn’t seem too concerned about it. I love like crazy but I am very worried about her size being that she will be starting preshcool in a year and worry about if she’ll be big enough to start on time. The last thing I want to do is hold her back from the help she needs in school because she isn’t physically ready. Anyone have any similar experiences or involvement?

I want in general not a specific type of dwarfism. I need the site that you fount this on also. It can be for the world or just in america. Or it could be that 1 in _ people have it. but you must include the site where you found it. I already looked on LPA (Little people of America) site and couldn’t find it.

I also have hearing problems, which I have found out happens in some forms of dwarfism. Does anybody know where I can find info on this subject? I have never been diagnosed with dwarfism, but after seeing some shows on tv, it sure seems to fit my situation.

In my Science class, we’re doing a project on genetic disorders. In our report, we have to include a Punnett Square and/or family pedigree for our subject. Mine’s on Dwarfism, and I can’t find anything that might help me make a punnett square OR a family pedigree for it! A little help, please? ^_^U
