Has the U.S. really put an end to injecting fowl (poultry) livestock with hormones?
I’m trying so hard to eat healthy and learned that meat has growth hormones in it and it makes me uncomfortable eating it. I am more of a poultry person. I love chicken and turkey the most. I’m wondering which animals are given growth hormones or if they all do. I feel like becoming a vegetarian b/c of this. Help.
I have heard that in certain countries poultry is injected with growth hormones for early and enhanced growth. If they are hormones, they should break down in our intestine during protein digestion. But they are considered responsible for hefty builts of some people consuming the products. Is that true?
checked the USDA site, most of the articles do not specifically refer to poultry.
